Stephen Nicholls, MBBS, PhD

Professor Nicholls leads Australia’s first dedicated heart hospital and integrated research institute and is President of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is a world-renowned cardiologist, has written more than 1000 manuscripts, book chapters and conference proceedings, and has raised more than $160 million in research funding. Professor Nicholls’ research broadly focuses on developing new strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease, involving translational research spanning preclinical human and clinical trials.
